Follow-up sessions are the visits that occur in therapy after the DA/Intake session(s) have been completed. These are typically 45 minutes in length, & are used to address most standard levels of care in counseling.
At times, there is need for higher care/time spent in sessions, or certain specialty services that may have been requested by the client as a therapy modality, & these needs could require both a different length of time used, & higher fee level billed for such services (e.g. addressing PTSD or C-PTSD, & may use methods, such as EMDR-based strategies for trauma-focused therapy). For these types of services, please refer to the “Specialty/Advanced Therapy” Services section.
